Thursday Roundup

Harassment is real, and frightening. Thanks to Becky for sending this along from Passive-Aggressive Notes.

Hey all! Thanks for another great day of comments and conversation. I have had enough wine that I shouldn't be blogging, so I'll get right to it: Here's what I liked around the Net today:

Since you're reading this, you're a feminist. Obviously! Since you're a feminist, you're a girl! Clearly. Since you're a girl, you LOVE diamonds. Duh, girl! Don't you want a cell phone that looks like one? I totes can't wait.

Lori at Feministing covers reproductive rights struggles in the Dominican Republic.

LaToya Peterson, who has the power to make me start reading problematic women's blogs again, writes a super-smart analysis of race in Mad Men.

I've been thinking a lot about mothering/breastfeeding lately. Here's a thought provoking post:
Let My Boobs Be Free!

Ruthy Mossy tells it to bigots.

A couple of great posts at Shakesville: one on PETA, and one on invisible disabilities.

I'm not a huge fan of Tracie at Jezebel, but I loved this post on how she hates planning her wedding.

Great post on the sexualization of Miley Cyrus.

Finally, Cara covers: Man Destroys Rosa Parks Poster at Health care Town Hall

As a reminder, I'm going to forgo Friday and Saturday roundups from here on out. You can get more linky goodness on Sunday.

  1. Ruthy Mossy tells it to bigots and Shakesville on invisible disabilities both link to

    Is that intentional?

  2. Nope, formatting fuckup. Thanks for letting me know.
